Born Tyjae T-andre Nicholson, Andre is one of many with big dreams of being successful. Being from a small parish in Louisiana, Andre used what he seen on the daily basis to develop his character. At the age of 11 Andre found his love for music. Growing up through the years Andre passion and love for music grew stronger because he knew one day he would be able to escape the poverty. Throughout his life he experienced things he thought he would never have to go through. While he was going through different circumstances instead of him focusing on the negativity, he flip that energy into something positive to help keep him motivated on his vision. His favorite hip-hop artist is Future because he says he is very creative when it comes to music and T Pain inspired him to also do the same musically.
Andre have been working on music for 13 years. Through them years Andre had been in and out of different groups until he decided to grind more as an solo artist.
Andre began rap battling his self to better his craft musically. He feels with the approach he’s trying to take towards the music industry will open a lot of doors of success. He believe he will become one of the next greatest Hip Hop/R&B artist in his generation. Exposed Vocals: How did you hear about Exposed Vocals? What made you decide to sign up?
Its Me Andre: I heard about Exposed Vocals from a musical connect that I work with. He signed up because he spoke great thing about Exposed Vocals on how you get great exposure with you guys.
Exposed Vocals: So tell us your story. Where did you grow up? What made you decide to become an artist?
Its Me Andre: I grew up in a town outside of New Orleans Louisiana. I became an artist because the love I have for music so created style that I feel can remove me from the poverty that was surrounded me.
Exposed Vocals: How did you come up with that name? What was your inspiration behind it?
Its Me Andre: in the past i had several different rap names but none of them wasn’t one with me or my music. The inspiration behind my name Its Me Andre is me, T-andre is my middle name so I took off the T and made it Andre because i want everything about my name and music to represent me.
Exposed Vocals: What do you think about online music sharing? Do you ever give your music away for free? Why?
Its Me Andre: i feel online music sharing is great simply because you can reach people across the world with just a click of a button. Sometimes I do give free music away to feed the fans so when I do release my EP or album they go want to buy it just for the simple fact that they know how im coming musically because of the free songs i did give out for free so they what know what to expect
Exposed Vocals: Since everyone was a start-up once, can you give any smaller or local bands or artists looking to get gigs and airplay some tips?
Its Me Andre: in this industry you have to be a boss because without no representation nobody will be willing to work with you. When you the boss of your own operation you can talk to the people you need to speak with to make things in your career happen.
Exposed Vocals: Do you ever make mistakes during performances? How do you handle that?
Its Me Andre: honestly no, I believe in being on top of my game at all times simply because so if a problem do present itself Im already a step ahead of the problem so it get corrected fast.
Exposed Vocals: Do you tour? Anything interesting happen on tour that you think our readers would enjoy hearing about?
Its Me Andre: honestly I didn’t tour yet but its in works for the summer of 2016.
Exposed Vocals: Where do you usually gather songwriting inspiration? What is your usual songwriting process?
Its Me Andre: I get songwriting inspirations from people and also my life situations. My process with songwriting is to first find a track that soon as i hear it I instantly have an idea for it, second I hit melodies to decide the type if flow i will use, third I’ll come up with a topic that could relate people feelings, and last i create the story.
Exposed Vocals: Do you have a band website? What online platforms do you use to share your music?
Its Me Andre: yeah, I have a twitter which is @itsme_andre985 and an instagram which is @ItsMe_Andre. I only use twitter and facebook to self promote my music because a lot of people use both to socialize on but all my major promotions for my music I use music connections that i have.
Exposed Vocals: What are some really embarrassing songs that we might find on your mp3 player?
Its Me Andre: I’m not sure only listen to two artists which is Future and Post Malone and if I’m not bumping them I’m listening to myself.
Exposed Vocals: If you were given half a million dollars and a year off, what would you do? How would you spend it?
Its Me Andre: I would turn that 500k into 5 million just by investing back into my music career by getting two features from two artists that can bring my career to another level that will increase my fan base and shows which equal more money.
Exposed Vocals: Any planned studio upgrades? What are you working with now?
Its Me Andre: to be honest i’m happy with what i have because i feel its not what you have its how you use it to benefit yourself. Right not i just have and blue spark mic, a laptop, headphones, and pro tools which i use to record myself.
Exposed Vocals: How do you find ways to promote your music? What works best for you?
Its Me Andre: I use my cell phone to do all my promotions so i’m always promoting non-stop. Facebook is one of my main tools i use to promote because everybody is always on facebook no matter what time or date.
Exposed Vocals: If you could perform anywhere and with any artists (Dead or Alive) where and who would it be with? Why?
Its Me Andre: the location would be London because of the love they show artists and the artist would be future because every show he do is epic it never fails.
Exposed Vocals: So, what’s next? Any new upcoming projects that you want to talk about?
Its Me Andre: I’m releasing my single called Hold Me Down first month of the year globally, i’m releasing my EP called Andre on March 16th, and releasing my album called Its Me Andre June 1st which is also my birthday.
Exposed Vocals: If you weren’t making music, what would you be doing?
Its Me Andre: I would opening up different businesses to create jobs for those who cant find work at the sametime creating income so my legacy thats coming after me won’t have work as hard as i did coming up

Its Me Andre: its easy i just keep myself humble and focus because when you lose either one or both thats when you lose grip on life and begin to slip between your fingers
