Exposed Vocals just caught an exclusive interview with EZ Raxx
Exposed Vocals: So let’s talk about your song Off-White did you ever think that it would be as big as it is now?
EZ Raxx: Well to be honest with you I figured it would be something but it caught me by surprise that it actually did become something big.
Exposed Vocals: So I listened to Off-White and I just had to ask you what inspired you to make the song Off-White?
EZ Raxx: Well it’s based off of true life experiences & to just show that there is much more meaning to things than a lot of people understand.
Exposed Vocals: I’ve noticed that you & TrizzyOnTheTrack have multiple songs together how long have you two been cool? Is he your only Producer?
EZ Raxx: I’ve been cool with Trizzy for almost three years for real. He isn’t just my producer he’s my engineer too, even if he doesn’t make the beat he is still going to be my engineer.
Exposed Vocals: So now let’s about your new drop on that Paper Planes Freestyle, what made you pick that instrumental?
EZ Raxx: Yeah Lol that, I mean I haven’t dropped in a minute so I wanted to drop fire. I picked that instrumental because it’s one that everybody is familiar too, & MIA did her thing on it & I always loved the beat when I was younger listening to it.
Exposed Vocals: So all of our sources are saying that you have an EP dropping soon called Thot Season. Is that true?
EZ Raxx: Lol Yeah Thats True No Cap To That
Exposed Vocals: So I bet a lot people have been asking you why you would name your EP Thot Season when you told them. But I have to ask you though why the name does it mean something?
EZ Raxx: A lot of people been asking why? Lol I mean why not? It’s a term that we use in Cleveland for summer time, and that’s the kind of music that’s on the EP.
Exposed Vocals: So when can we expect this EP to drop? Who can we expect to hear?
EZ Raxx: Lol Thot Season is almost here trust me but the date is a surprise but just be ready to hear BT, Gene Cool, Huwoppp, Zee2Cool, & Kat Maddon
Exposed Vocals: So tell me what’s it like growing up in the most dangerous city in Ohio, Cleveland?
EZ Raxx: Well I mean I’m not gonna lie it’s real rough in the city there is a lotta people trying to make it out. But at the same time there is actually a lot to get into there once you hit 21 but any age before that it’s kind of a boring city for the youth unless your in the streets.
Exposed Vocals: So in your song I Done you talk about your Shottas doing time is there any truth to this?
EZ Raxx: Cmon now what kind of question is that I’m not going to lie on my people & say a they are locked up if they aren’t I don’t wish prison or jail on anyone not even my worst enemy.
Exposed Vocals: So exactly how many of your shottas are locked up?
EZ Raxx: They Got Dooder Free Dooder. They Got Rome Free Rome he should be home soon. They got Macky Free Macky he Should Be Home Soon Too. They got Spazz Free Spazz.
Exposed Vocals: Was there ever a time where you wanted to stop doing what you were doing and call it quits? What made you keep going?
EZ Raxx: If you want me to be real with you yeah when I was down broke I felt it but I was like I’m going to grind it out. But when my dawgs got locked up. It kinda forced me to do this & the responsibility was overbearing at first. It was my breaking point and the most motivational point in my life too. I had to take the responsibility so I did it & never turned back since.
Exposed Vocals: What would you consider your music to be ? Trap music, chill music or it’s own path?
EZ Raxx: I mean that up for you to decide I just spit what I’m goin through or been through on the track if you think it’s trap then it’s trap if you wanna chill to it go ahead and do you.
Exposed Vocals: I don’t mean to backtrack here but I Seen your first song on your SoundCloud Weed Wrap. Are we going to hear more of that or was that just a phase?
EZ Raxx: To be honest I’m not going to fake I had like 5 notebooks with shit like that. I mean I can always go back to that but if that’s what my fans want they can get it.
Exposed Vocals: So I’ve been studying the Cleveland scene and seen that you were an underrated artist and one of the lyrical geniuses in your city how does that make you feel to have these two things contrast each other?
EZ Raxx: At the end of the day I can be slept on, underrated and overlooked but that’s still not going to change the fact that I got talent & I’m perfecting my craft. When they wake up they just going to be late to the party dawg.
Exposed Vocals: Now let’s talk about 2 Feet I’ve listened to it & I have to admit it wasn’t what I was expecting to here after you came out with Top Shotta. What exactly was going on in that song?
EZ Raxx: Well if you want me to keep it one hunnid the beat just talks to me dawg. Whether it’s experiences or just shit that’s on my mind.
Exposed Vocals: Is there anything you want to say to your fans?
