The Don Kap (and his Hawk Eyes) brings substance back to rap with his real-talk approach and in your face attitude. He has no time for fakes and will shit on them if they try him. He could have been a Lawyer or a Psychiatrist, but instead he got a Masters in film and already has a movie coming to theatres this summer.
Diving deep into a surreal swirl of neon-hued nostalgia, the Don Kap offers a fresh take on the highly emotive flows of “Cannot Listen”. Stylistically the Don Kap draws from chillwave, hip-hop, trap, and R&B in a way that feels fresh. Featuring a style uniquely his own the entirety of the track simply stuns. Best of all are the vocals, an interesting mixture of poetry and storytelling. With a conversational cadence to the track, at times the Don Kap’s unique approach recalls the powerful work of Future. Layer upon layer of sound filters into the mix giving it a dense all-consuming style, one that feels so visceral and real.
Glistening keys introduce the piece in a gracious style. Upon the inclusion of the vocals the whole thing starts up in earnest. The build-up of the groove happens in such a patient, painterly way. Really the whole of the track opts for a great deal of ambience in a pitch-perfect way ensuring that the song’s moodiness moves front and center. I do not tour.. yet. I have no cell service provider, this way fakes cant call me. No time for fakes.

I have some great engineers I work with and they have the top stuff.
Exposed Vocals: How do you find ways to promote your music? What works best for you?
The music market is oversaturated so sadly, even someone with a golden voice can go unnoticed. I believe in investing in yourself in any form (online, social, touring)
