Tini Wilson Is back! Round two with her hit new single “I’m Out”  already making the rounds from D.C to NYC. So, those of you that have been living under a rock, let me re-introduce this phenomenal, up-and-coming artist. Her name is Tini Wilson and she may be 5 feet tall, but her vocals packs one hell of punch!

As a place where seeds of change are planted and new voices come to be heard, it is no surprise that Washington, DC is home to a robust music scene. That’s where DC-based lyricist Tini Wilson is putting the city’s Hip-Hop music scene on the global map with the release of her recent hit “I’m Out”

                                         “Aint gonna happen / this is my ship and I’m the captain”

 Its one of those lines in a song where you want to stand up and take control of a situation. Relationships can be hard and unfair and you captain capain your ship or just stand up and be like “I’m Out” . This track is very powerful and some guys need to take a bite of humble pie and listen to the lyrics.

Overall, this is a great choice for a single – it’s insanely catchy, very well produced and showcases Tini Wilson as a hip-hop artist with a strong personalityand an amazing voice. Exclusive Interview: 

Exposed Vocals: How did you hear about Exposed Vocals? What made you decide to sign up?

      Tini:       I had a song review done with you guys, found you on Twitter!!!

Exposed Vocals: So tell us your story. Where did you grow up? What made you decide to become an artist?

     Tini:       I was born in Washington, DC. I grew up in Maryland

Exposed Vocals: How did you come up with that name? What was your inspiration behind it?

     Tini:        I’m a Wilson and I’m 5 feet tall.

Exposed Vocals: What do you think about online music sharing? Do you ever give your music away for free? Why?

     Tini:        I think you have to share your Music to be discovered and I share mine on MY Tini Wilson Reverbnation Artist page. I always have something FREE for MY Fans to keep them interested. It’s not about the money for ME I want to be heard more than anything
Exposed Vocals: Since everyone was a start-up once, can you give any smaller or local bands or artists looking to get gigs and airplay some tips?
     Tini:        Sure, Engage with your fans, contests, FREE stuff, and have at least one platform like Twitter where you make yourself available to them
 

Exposed Vocals: Do you ever make mistakes during performances? How do you handle that?

     Tini:        No such thing. I wrote it. If it comes out a little different it’s all in how I vibe, I run with it

Exposed Vocals: Do you tour? Anything interesting happen on tour that you think our readers would enjoy hearing about?

     Tini:       I have held off on touring this year to complete my very first book. It will be available next month

Exposed Vocals: Where do you usually gather songwriting inspiration? What is your usual songwriting process?

     Tini:        I get asked to write to beats all the time. I just need space to write, no particular process. I crunk the music til the words fall in place

Exposed Vocals: Do you have a band website? What online platforms do you use to share your music?

Exposed Vocals: What are some really embarrassing songs that we might find on your mp3 player?

     Tini:        I don’t have any. My songs are not about me, well all except the one called “All about me” LOL!!

Exposed Vocals: If you were given half a million dollars and a year off, what would you do? How would you spend it?

     Tini:        Invest in my Art & Music program at Hartbeat Records http://hartbeatrecords.com It for kids from low income housing and We try to give them the chance to start something beautiful. Art saved my Life. I’s really big for me to give back.

Exposed Vocals: Any planned studio upgrades? What are you working with now?

     Tini:        I work with several different producers just to get it in. Really hard for a female in my industry. I plan to have my own equipment next year and doing everything out of my own studio in 2016

Exposed Vocals: How do you find ways to promote your music? What works best for you?

     Tini:        I promote on Twitter, Facebook, and Reverbnation directly!!! I like them all for very different reasons.

Exposed Vocals: If you could perform anywhere and with any artists (Dead or Alive) where and who would it be with? Why?

     Tini:        If I could work with Biggie or Tupac that would be the ULTIMATE for ME!!!  I cried for both and they both influenced me

Exposed Vocals: So, what’s next? Any new upcoming projects that you want to talk about?

     Tini:       I’m producing some more Rap, I had crossed over but my eldest son was shot on May 31, so I have saome things I want to say and I plan to lay down a few more Rap songs. I am producing Lil. Daddy my youngest son this Summer!!

Exposed Vocals: If you weren’t making music, what would you be doing?

     Tini:        In jail, or dead maybe. Music saved my life. I might just still be living a life of crime.

Exposed Vocals: Do you remember buying your first album? Who was it? What was going through your head?

     Tini:        Yes, New Edition. My first cassette tape!! LOL!!! I gotta see these guys. I was so in Love with Ralph. Only concert I attended as a youth as well

Exposed Vocals: How do you juggle the rest of your responsibilities while trying to stay ahead in your music life?

     Tini:        I home school Lil. Daddy and My family work as a Team to get my Music heard!!

Exposed Vocals: What should fans look forward to in 2015?

     Tini:       More music, more products via Hartbeat Records site,My  Calender, My book, My producing Lil. Daddy and getting a lot closer We are doing more videos as well. My first full length!!
