Exposed Vocals: How did you hear about Exposed Vocals? What made you decide to sign up?
Ja’Marvis: Well, I have been on Twitter for almost two years now and one day I got a direct message for Exposed Vocals wanting to do an interview with me, so I visited the website to see what y’all had to offer. I really liked how Exposed Vocals treat the artist, there’s not a lot of organizations, that help artist/ musicians get buzz around the world. so that’s what made me sign up to be apart of a good music business.
Exposed Vocals: So tell us your story. Where did you grow up? What made you decide to become an artist?
Ja’Marvis: Born on May 16, 1996 in Columbus, GA. Raise in Petal, MS for the remainder of my teenage years. Music has always be destined for me, because I never wanted to stop learning. I am a producer, musician, vocalist, etc. I want to do the inevitable in the music industry, that’s why I started D’Lemia. Not only want to help myself, I want to help others, also learn from them, and achieve success.Everyone has their own viewpoint in music, together we can make a beautiful sound.

Ja’Marvis: So much easier to share music now,it has came a long way.15 years ago you wouldn’t be dropping music online, it was about them records sells. Overnight stardom can come quick, with one song shared by many all over the world. Yeah, I’ve have in the past, to expose my talents to the world, but now I’m debating on putting a couple new song out for free.
Exposed Vocals: Since everyone was a start-up once, can you give any smaller or local bands or artists looking to get gigs and airplay some tips?
Ja’Marvis: Know the route you want to take to putting yourself out, make sure you have the funds and balance everything you are trying to do. It’s easy to get caught with all the commotion for being a artist.

Ja’Marvis: No
Exposed Vocals: Where do you usually gather songwriting inspiration? What is your usual songwriting process?
Ja’Marvis: From listening to a couple songs of my favorite artist’s and reading the dictionary. Sometimes I think of a topic, I want to talk about in my songs or if I have the instrumental in front of me, I usually think of a hook first then start writing the lyrics.
Exposed Vocals: Do you have a band website? What online platforms do you use to share your music?
Ja’Marvis: My website for D’Lemia is in the process, should be up soon. I use Soundcloud and itunes, for a easy and quick listen.
Exposed Vocals: What are some really embarrassing songs that we might find on your mp3 player?
Ja’Marvis: You would find a lot of scrap freestyle that I did, really me just brainstorming what to write for a song.
Exposed Vocals: If you were given half a million dollars and a year off, what would you do? How would you spend it?
Ja’Marvis: I would upgrade my studio, and start a record label. Would bring in a lot of artist to make hundreds of songs. Then invest in some stock, to make more money.
Exposed Vocals: Any planned studio upgrades? What are you working with now?
Ja’Marvis: Maybe upgrading my mpk, getting a mpc, to produce more instrumentals. Working with Ableton live 9,a mpk mini, and a bass guitar.
