Exclusive Interview
Exposed Vocals: So tell us your story. Where did you guys grow up? What made you decide to become a band?
We all grew up in the Twin Cities. We decided to become a band because all of us wouldn’t be satisfied doing anything else other than playing music.
Exposed Vocals: Since everyone was a start-up once, can you give any smaller or local bands or artists looking to get gigs and airplay some tips?
Love what you do, have inner belief, and don’t let nay sayers waver you from your path. Also link up with other bands you resonate with in your area and reach out to them. That will help you to get gigs and start your own scene.
Exposed Vocals: Do you ever make mistakes during performances? How do you handle that?
Well perfect isn’t cool, and cool is not perfect. We are all human.. some of the best live performances of all time are riddled with mistakes. Sometimes a mess up here and there can actually benefit your show, and add personality. It’s something people all over the globe can relate to, and it adds a human quality to the music.
Exposed Vocals: Do you tour? Anything interesting happen on tour that you think our readers would enjoy hearing about?
We are in the process of planning our first tour now. Look out for us!
Exposed Vocals: Any planned studio upgrades? What are you working with now?
We are always picking up new gear. Actually our guitarist just picked up a new Jazzmaster which has really altered the sound. The Roland Sampling pad was a huge game changer for us. We highly recommend getting one.
Exposed Vocals: How do you find ways to promote your music? What works best for you?
Trying to create content that expresses our evolving sound seems to work best for us. Promotion is something we are passionate about, and we are still finding our unique voice.
Exposed Vocals: If you could perform anywhere and with any artists (Dead or Alive) where and who would it be with? Why?
Well since we are from the Twin Cities our local hero Prince would be our guy. His performance at the super bowl would have been an amazing experience.
Exposed Vocals: So, what’s next? Any new upcoming projects that you want to talk about?
We have a new album coming out entitled, “The Blue Palace.” Coming out in early summer 2018.
Exposed Vocals: If you weren’t making music, what would you be doing?
Im sure we would all be involved in he arts in some way. Maybe we would be out fishing on the lake.. who knows.
Exposed Vocals: What should fans look forward to in the next year or so?
Experiencing us live. Also you can look forward to many more releases.
Exposed Vocals: Any Shout-outs?
Artist: Shout out to our mom’s and dad’s. We love you guys!
