Music Review and Interview with Comptons Yung Dominus
Yung Dominus has recently released the street banger titled Western Civilization which will be found exclusively on his next project titled Industry Extortion 101. Directed by Mo Stafford, Western Civilization reminds the public that Yung Dominus is a west coast emcee who can demolish any track lyrically.
“Throughout my lyrics I’m rapping about a Los Angeles hustler with a New York state of mind.”

“Can I Watch You Work”
Some might say that Los Angeles couldn’t exist without music as the Los Angeles’s music scene is extremely diverse, to say the least… a daunting and dizzying beast.
The L.A rap scene is in flux. Some of the most promising young acts in hip-hop today – Kendrick Lamar and the TDE Camp, Dom Kennedy’s OPM, Tyler, The Creator and his Odd Future crew—and you’ll realize that they’re all from L.A.
Word around the street is that Young Dominus is next up and is an immediately recognizable L.A. rapper with the commercial appeal to match – with his recently released, street banger titled “Western Civilization” which will be found exclusively on his next project titled “Industry Extortion 101”.
Although there’s still not much material available from the Compton rapper outside of his his new releases, there’s not much else that needs to be said. His track “Can I Watch You Work” alone speak volumes with punch lines like…
” You know the name / flow control the game”
“You can be sassy and classy / it’s all the same”
Overall, his fluid brand of gangsta rap/synth music is a refreshing break from the norm. Please stick around and check out our exclusive Interview with Yung Dominus below!

Yung Dominus : They followed me on Twitter. After showing love to me,
I decided to show love back.

Yung Dominus : I grew up in the ghettos of Compton, Los Angeles, and
Hawthorne CA. I spent my childhood years in Foster Care. High School
freestyle ciphers made me fall in love with creating songs and
punchlines.
Exposed Vocals: How did you come up with that name? What was yourinspiration behind it?
Yung Dominus : It means Man of God in Latin, plus it was unique. I
needed something to stand out. Just added the Yung part because of how
I felt on the inside.

can’t afford to buy my albums.
Exposed Vocals: Since everyone was a start-up once, can you give anysmaller or local bands or artists looking to get gigs and airplay some
tips?
Yung Dominus : Work Hard, Hustle, Work Harder, Hustle. Hardwork most
times trumps talent, plus gets noticed way before pure talent.
Remember its called the Music BUSINESS. So they execs and venue
promoters pay attention to the business aspect. Plus do your research
on the markets you may be up against.
Exposed Vocals: Do you ever make mistakes during performances? How doyou handle that?
Yung Dominus : I have. You gotta adjust and keep pushing through them.
Don’t compound matters by making a possible overlooked mistake into a
very noticeable mistake.
Exposed Vocals: Do you tour? Anything interesting happen on tour thatyou think our readers would enjoy hearing about?
Yung Dominus : I haven’t had the pleasure of going on tour yet.
Waiting on the right opportunity. I’ve had a few offers but they
weren’t the right fit.
Exposed Vocals: Where do you usually gather songwriting inspiration? What is your usual songwriting process?
Yung Dominus : My song inspirations comes from life trials and
tribulations, as well as the never ending quest to write the dopest
track in Hip Hop history. May never happen, but every writer wants to
set the bar high or maybe even invent a new trend or sound.
Exposed Vocals: Do you have a band website? What online platforms do you use to share your music?
Yung Dominus : My label website is www.frontpagemusicllc.com. I use
Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, Reverbnation, Pinterest, and
Youtube.
Exposed Vocals: What are some really embarrassing songs that we mightfind on your mp3 player?
Yung Dominus : LOL…Angela Simmons “Center of Attention”…that’s
just because she the homegirl.
Exposed Vocals: If you were given half a million dollars and a yearoff, what would you do? How would you spend it?
Yung Dominus : Sit on 65%, take other 35% and give both my parents a
tour of the world. My way to thank them for giving me life and so they
can enjoy life.
Exposed Vocals: Any planned studio upgrades? What are you working with now?
Yung Dominus : No, I’m already working out a state of the art studio
in West Los Angeles. We work with Pro Tools mostly.
Exposed Vocals: How do you find ways to promote your music? What worksbest for you?
Yung Dominus ; Social Media, Flyers around the City, and Word of
Mouth. I traveled and work with a lot of people from different
cities/states to broaden my fanbase.
Exposed Vocals: If you could perform anywhere and with any artists (Dead or Alive) where and who would it be with? Why?
Yung Dominus : Michael Jackson in Paris. He was a perfectionist an I
would love the energy plus wisdom I would soak up. Tupac and Biggie at
Madison Square Garden. That would probably be the highlight of my
career.
Exposed Vocals: So, what’s next? Any new upcoming projects that youwant to talk about?
Yung Dominus : I’m dropping two new mixtapes “Industry Extortion 101” hosted by Infamous DJ Haze, and “For Da Family” mixtape hosted by DJ
TKO of Fleet Djs this Fall/Winter. After those I’m going for a Major label deal to release my 2nd album on.
