Exclusive Interview with Tennessee Fraser

Exposed Vocals: How did you hear about Exposed Vocals? What made you decide to sign up?

Tennessee: I first found exposed vocals on twitter, so i decided to click it , i decided to sign up after seeing the different range of artist represented, it was cool

Exposed Vocals: So tell us your story. Where did you grow up? What made you decide to become an artist?

Tennessee: Well i’m From the Bahamas. I always was inspired to become an artist just for the fact of telling stories though music, I think its a good way to get point of views across to people.

Exposed Vocals: How did you come up with that name? What was your inspiration behind it?

Tennessee: Tennessee? lol Well thats my real name … (i know right… )

Exposed Vocals: What do you think about online music sharing? Do you ever give your music away for free? Why?

Tennessee: Yeah am all down for that, Actually my Ep (“Get Away Plan”) that am bringing out very soon is gonna be free . so look out for that (Sept 20)

Exposed Vocals: Since everyone was a start-up once, can you give any smaller or local bands or artists looking to get gigs and airplay some tips?

Tennessee: Well Am actually starting out myself …but i think just putting yourself out there is always a good thing

Exposed Vocals: Where do you usually gather songwriting inspiration? What is your usual songwriting process?

Tennessee: It comes at the most random moments but i always make sure i have my phone handy to write it down or record it.

Exposed Vocals: Do you have a band website? What online platforms do you use to share your music?

Tennessee: No Not at the moment but i will soon

Exposed Vocals: What are some really embarrassing songs that we might find on your mp3 player?

Tennessee: Probably Miley Cyrus lol … nah tho…   but miley cool she grows on you

Exposed Vocals: If you were given half a million dollars and a year off, what would you do? How would you spend it?

Tennessee: Invest in myself, Mostly my music, Getting it out there more and spend more time perfecting my craft

Exposed Vocals: Any planned studio upgrades? What are you working with now?

Tennessee: Hopefully soon, But for now i have everything i need

Exposed Vocals: How do you find ways to promote your music? What works best for you?

Tennessee: Twitter and Airplay help a lot

Exposed Vocals: If you could perform anywhere and with any artists (Dead or Alive) where and who would it be with? Why?

Tennessee: Micheal Jackson Probably  in Japan, Simply Because i thought he was such an artist in the true sense, he entertained with his vocals and his dancing and i admire artist that are multi-talented and i have never been to Japan

Exposed Vocals: So, what’s next? Any new upcoming projects that you want to talk about?

Tennessee: Yes, like i said before i have and Ep Coming out soon called “Get Away Plan”. It will be free and it will be available on iTunes, Amazon and Sound Cloud

Exposed Vocals: If you weren’t making music, what would you be doing?

Tennessee: I dont wanna be doing anything else but music . Because right now am working and music is my only get away from it yanno.

Exposed Vocals: Do you remember buying your first album? Who was it? What was going through your head?

Tennessee: YESSSSSSS i think i was like 9 and it was Outkast . I dunno what was going through my head but i really liked them … and still do

Exposed Vocals: How do you juggle the rest of your responsibilities while trying to stay ahead in your music life?

Tennessee: Just prioritize . i know the artist i listen to probably went thru the same things so i just tell myself to keep going

Exposed Vocals: What should fans look forward to in 2015?

Tennessee: Getting to know Tennessee better and what is The “Get Away Plan”
