Stepping Stones – Game Show ” a really fun and undeniably memorable track. “
‘Game Show’ is song with a great energy and a really fun, easy to get into vibe. The track develops in a way that offers a series of melodic moments and a gradual evolution that keeps things interesting and entertaining throughout. There are numerous different sections within the song, structurally speaking, and each one adds to the build up and the overall effect of the music.
The leading riff used in the backdrop, during the intro and the instrumental sections, this sort of electronic-horn or keyboard section, has a very notable game show feel to it. The vocal parts throughout have a similar sound, a slightly karaoke-like vibe, through this is not meant in a negative way – the accompanying video definitely enhances this feeling. All in all it makes for a really fun and undeniably memorable track. It’s a party song, the sort that would go down pretty well at a live show on a Friday or Saturday night, and it’s the sort that you’d recognise again in an instant even after just a single listen.
The band definitely have something unique about their sound. The lyrics are easy to relate to, though there are some significantly unexpected and surprisingly effective rhymes used throughout. Ridiculous, limitless, dangerous, contagious – the vocalists always make sure to make the words and the phrasings fit flawlessly with the intended sound and the rhythm of the music. It works well, it makes you smile, as all great music with an upbeat energy should, and it offers something brand new. The band have an enjoyable and addictive sound and hopefully there’s a lot more songwriting and a variety of additional stories and melodies and riffs to explore and embrace with the release of further projects. Get down to a live show if you can.
