Exposed Vocals: How did you hear about Exposed Vocals? What made you decide to sign up?
Stuart Matthew (HC): My Manager found it on Twitter and he referred me. It attracted me a lot in a very kind way and I felt like I can seriously expose my Vocals here.
Exposed Vocals: So tell us your story. Where did you grow up? What made you decide to become an artist?
Stuart Matthew (HC): I grew up in Allahabad, India. I had never been in music before, when I was 14 years-old I met a friend who gave me his own recorded vocals and I loved that and I don’t know how but It just forced me to sing along with that so I started recording on my phone and I shared with my friends so they said you should carry on with that. So I simply started watching covers on YouTube and then I found Jasmine Thompson, from England. She is 14 years old and she was doing amazing which inspires me a lot so I thought If she can sing so good in a little age, why not me.?
Exposed Vocals: How did you come up with that name? What was your inspiration behind it?
Stuart Matthew (HC): Actually I’m Half Hindu-Half Christian; and my real name is Harsh Chandra, named by my mother. I came up with that name when I started singing. Well, there’s no Inspiration behind that and I kept it as stage name.
Exposed Vocals: What do you think about online music sharing? Do you ever give your music away for free? Why?
Stuart Matthew (HC): Online Music Sharing is the way to provide your stuffs to your fans which I do a lot and Yes, I gave my music away for free when I was just a beginner.
Exposed Vocals: Since everyone was a start-up once, can you give any smaller or local bands or artists looking to get gigs and airplay some tips?
Stuart Matthew (HC): Well, I think I’m too small to give tips but I would recommend Exposed Vocals, it is the best to be sorted out with that.
Exposed Vocals: Do you ever make mistakes during performances? How do you handle that?
Stuart Matthew (HC): I’ve performed only once but I don’t think I’ve done mistake. Anyway if you do any, never panic or never get nervous just carry on with your work.
Exposed Vocals: Do you tour? Anything interesting happen on tour that you think our readers would enjoy hearing about?
Stuart Matthew (HC): I’ve never done any tours lately.
Exposed Vocals: Where do you usually gather songwriting inspiration? What is your usual songwriting process?
Stuart Matthew (HC): My Songwriting Inspiration is “Sia” because her songs are really inspirational and I love her the way she writes. So, on my own I’ve written about five songs lately but it’s too hard to compose that but finally I released my original song “Faith” written by Stef Kestens & me and he helped me a lot.
Exposed Vocals: Do you have a band website? What online platforms do you use to share your music?
Stuart Matthew (HC): I’ve my own website and generally I use YouTube, Sound Cloud, Audio Mack, Your Listen and Reverb nation to share my music
Exposed Vocals: What are some really embarrassing songs that we might find on your mp3 player?
Stuart Matthew (HC): Ohh, I don’t wanna tell but It’s my cover “Team” cause I feel like I’ve recorded it in 17th century.lol.
Exposed Vocals: If you were given half a million dollars and a year off, what would you do? How would you spend it?
Stuart Matthew (HC): First, I would try to sort out my family probs. And after that I will upgrade my Studio.
Exposed Vocals: Any planned studio upgrades? What are you working with now?
Stuart Matthew (HC): I wanna buy Rode NT-1 and a USB Audio Interface. I’m working with Ahuja’s Microphone and with a Sound Card.
Exposed Vocals: How do you find ways to promote your music? What works best for you?
Stuart Matthew (HC): I do spent lot of time on this matter. But I think YouTube Promotion works best.
Exposed Vocals: If you could perform anywhere and with any artists (Dead or Alive) where and who would it be with? Why?
Stuart Matthew (HC): I would like to perform with Jasmine Thompson, Justin Bieber, Selena Gomez and Robin Schulz and If I could do this then I don’t care what the place is that. Lol
Exposed Vocals: So, what’s next? Any new upcoming projects that you want to talk about?
Stuart Matthew (HC): Yes, My EP is coming soon and I will be having my new original in that.
Exposed Vocals: If you weren’t making music, what would you be doing?
Stuart Matthew (HC): I would be doing abroad studies.
Exposed Vocals: Do you remember buying your first album? Who was it? What was going through your head?
Stuart Matthew (HC): I first purchased “Under the Willow Tree” from Jasmine Thompson. I was in love with that and I think it was my dream to buy it.
Exposed Vocals: How do you juggle the rest of your responsibilities while trying to stay ahead in your music life?
Stuart Matthew (HC): Well, I don’t have any big responsibility on me cause my parents help me a lot when I’m busy but anyway It’s too hard for me to be juggled in other work, I’m in college now and I think It will be more difficult to stay in music but anyways I can manage it.

Stuart Matthew (HC): They should look forward for my upcoming debut EP. It’s coming soon.
