Yugen Blakrok – Ochre (Official Video)

‘Ochre’ as an ode to the red, yellow and white pigment that is important in Xhosa rituals and traditions. The song is an acknowledgement and celebration of origin, nature and magic.

The accompanying video is a vision quest, a story about going into oneself. The state of the world in these last few months has catalyzed a common inward-journey, we’ve all been forced to face and confront ourselves more than ever before.

The flower received from the Anima-self symbolizes the ‘Flower of Heaven’. This flower (usually attached to a long, thorny stem) symbolizes the path to knowing yourself.
