It took almost 11 months, dozens of videos, and countless hours of trying to come up great song ideas, but it has finally happened. Jenna, JD, and Michael are covering one of the greatest pop groups of all time, ABBA!
For episode 24 of the Gutter Rose Quarantine Concert Series, the group is taking aim at Sweden’s greatest export. Named after an acronym for the first letter of each member’s name (Agnetha, Björn, Benny, and Anni-Frid), ABBA rose to international stardom in 1974 when they won the famed ‘Eurovision” song writing contest with their song “Waterloo”. The title of the song references Napoleon defeat at the Battle of Waterloo in 1815. The song became a #1 single in nine country and went on to sell over 6 million copies in the U.S.
With JD and Mike handling the bass, drums, guitars, keys (and sunglasses), Jenna shines with her vocals and mic twirling skills.
