Linkin Park Drops Explosive New Single “Up From The Bottom” Ahead of Deluxe Album Release
Linkin Park is officially back—and they’re not playing it safe. The legendary rock band just dropped a brand-new single titled “Up From The Bottom,” a high-voltage anthem that captures the raw energy of their post-hiatus resurgence. Released last night (March 27), the track arrives with a visually stunning music video and a powerful message of resilience.
The single is part of the upcoming deluxe edition of their comeback album From Zero, due out May 16, which will also include two other unreleased tracks, “Let You Fade” and “Unshatter,” plus five live recordings.
“‘Up From The Bottom’ was created in between tours this year, infused with the electricity of those first shows back after a long hiatus,” said Mike Shinoda, in a statement that radiates the band’s renewed purpose.
The evolution of Linkin Park’s sound continues to push boundaries, blending familiar textures with bold new layers—largely thanks to the addition of Emily Armstrong (of Dead Sara) on vocals and Colin Brittain on drums, stepping in after the heartbreaking loss of Chester Bennington in 2017.
Shinoda also reflected on the band’s new direction:
“The more we worked with Emily and Colin, the more we enjoyed their world-class talents, their company, and the things we created… We’re weaving together the sonic touchpoints we’ve been known for and still exploring new ones.”
In a recent interview with Billboard, DJ Joe Hahn didn’t hold back his enthusiasm:
“In my opinion, it’s the best song we’ve ever made.”
Big words. But after hearing “Up From The Bottom,” fans might just agree.
Welcome back, Linkin Park.
