Exposed Vocals: So tell us your story. Where did you grow up? What made you decide to become an artist?
I was born in the Bronx, got moved to Harlem then back to the Bronx to grow up some more. DMX's debut album, It's Dark and Hell is Hot, made me want to become a rap artist.
Exposed Vocals: Since everyone was a start-up once, can you give any smaller or local bands or artists looking to get gigs and airplay some tips?
If you can't help but write lyrics, compose then record music and all that other good stuff regardless of whether you're making money from it or not, then it's for you. Keep doing your thing regardless of what anyone tells you. Also, scrutinize all info that comes your way. Such info could lead to resources such as new technology or services that can really help you be more successful.
Exposed Vocals: Do you ever make mistakes during performances? How do you handle that?
Most of the times, I do make mistakes. I just remind myself that the audience may not realize it. That helps me to keep on with the act. When I'm done, I learn from the mistakes and make sure they don't happen again.
Exposed Vocals: Do you tour? Anything interesting happen on tour that you think our readers would enjoy hearing about?
Haven't had the opportunity to tour yet. Working out some stuff first.
Exposed Vocals: Any planned studio upgrades? What are you working with now?
As in upgrades for my home studio? If so, then no. Don't have one yet. I just go to a nearby studio.
Exposed Vocals: How do you find ways to promote your music? What works best for you?
In addition to social media, I hired a PR Firm, which is achieving more than I can ever do alone.
Exposed Vocals: If you could perform anywhere and with any artists (Dead or Alive) where and who would it be with? Why?
Probably with 2Pac and Snoop at the Coachella. It was such a big moment when Pac's hologram performed with Snoop so would've been nice to be a part of that.
Exposed Vocals: So, what’s next? Any new upcoming projects that you want to talk about?
I just finished a project which will be out real soon. It'll be a bit of a far cry from my previous work.
Exposed Vocals: If you weren’t making music, what would you be doing?
Most likely harming myself and/or others... Music keeps me sane.
Exposed Vocals: What should fans look forward to in the next year or so?
Hopefully a hit that's playing everywhere, radio, online, TV, big screen, etc. I'll be glad even if it's a sleeper hit.
Exposed Vocals: Any Shout-outs?
Yes, shout out to James Dunn Deal, Studio Pros and Subcat Studios.
