Exposed Vocals: So tell us your story. Where did you grow up? What made you decide to become an artist?
Originally I am from Augsburg in Germany and I moved to Australia seven years ago to pursue my music career. I always had an interested for singing, playing instruments, music in general and dancing.
Exposed Vocals: Since everyone was a start-up once, can you give any smaller or local bands or artists looking to get gigs and airplay some tips?
Always stay true to yourself, believe in what you are doing, follow your heart. Do your best to work towards your goals and don't give up. Remind yourself why you love doing what you are doing. Connect with your audience and show them how passionate you are about what you do.
Exposed Vocals: Do you ever make mistakes during performances? How do you handle that?
Of course! This happens all the time. I would even like to say that not one performance is perfect! I think the best way to handle such a situation is not to panic! Just keep going, smile and don't think about the mistake. Audiences are very forgiving and often they won't even notice!
Exposed Vocals: Do you tour? Anything interesting happen on tour that you think our readers would enjoy hearing about?
I am planning on doing a couple of concerts next year after my debut album 'Unlocked' has been released.
Exposed Vocals: Any planned studio upgrades? What are you working with now?
Exposed Vocals: How do you find ways to promote your music? What works best for you?
I believe that word of mouth is one of the best ways of promotion! I personally promote on social media, website, paid online advertising and YouTube.
Exposed Vocals: If you could perform anywhere and with any artists (Dead or Alive) where and who would it be with? Why?
Oh, that is a difficult question to answer. I don't think I can choose one location and one artist! I'd appreciate any opportunity to perform with any artist!
Exposed Vocals: So, what’s next? Any new upcoming projects that you want to talk about?
My new single 'Secret Love' will be released internationally on 16th June 2017. The new single “Secret Love” is a soulful, well crafted rendition of a secret forbidden love that will never come to fruition. I am also planning on releasing my debut album 'Unlocked' in March 2018
Exposed Vocals: If you weren’t making music, what would you be doing?
I am very passionate about dancing and photography. I have competed internationally in dancing for over a decade but gave up on it to pursue my music career. I have also had a photography business before I started with singing.
Exposed Vocals: What should fans look forward to in the next year or so?
My new single 'Secret Love' will be released on the 16th of June 2018 and my debut album 'Unlocked' will be released in March 2018. You can keep up to date with details by following me on Facebook (Lorelai), Twitter https://twitter.com/lorelai_ms, Instagram https://www.instagram.com/lorelai_music
Exposed Vocals: Any Shout-outs?
Of course! First of all to my family and friends for all their support! To my past and current vocal coaches and music partners, all my fans & social media followers, and especially my friend and producer Eslev for believing in me and supporting me from day one!
