Exposed Vocals: So tell us your story. Where did you grow up? What made you decide to become an artist?

Red-E:  I grew up in Rosengard, Malmoe, in the south Sweden. I love music and the feelings that come with it. I love when it all comes together and the satisfaction that I get when I create something that I want to listen to.

 

Exposed Vocals: How did you come up with that name? What was your inspiration behind it?

 

Red-E: I was Red eyed at that time but I was always ready to make a move, hence my name Red-E. It felt really logical back then but it doesn’t make sense todayJ, hehe.

Exposed Vocals: What do you think about online music sharing? Do you ever give your music away for free? Why?

Red-E:I think online music sharing is a wonderful thing for the listeners and the fans because it is so easy to get new music. However for the artist it is good to get your music out but it is hard to really get a fan base due to the massive amount of music flowing online.

 

Exposed Vocals: Since everyone was a start-up once, can you give any smaller or local bands or artists looking to get gigs and airplay some tips?

Red-E: Never give up, be persistent and stay humble.

 

Exposed Vocals: Do you ever make mistakes during performances? How do you handle that?

 

Red-E: Some blunders sure, in the beginning it is really embarrassing, but if I keep going people hardly notice.

 

Exposed Vocals: Do you tour? Anything interesting happen on tour that you think our readers would enjoy hearing about?

Red-E: I haven´t been on tour yet but I am really looking forward to it, mostly for the experience.

 

Exposed Vocals: Where do you usually gather songwriting inspiration? What is your usual songwriting process?

Red-E: My inspiration comes from life and experiences. The world around us and  the world within us.

Exposed Vocals: Do you have a band website? What online platforms do you use to share your music?

Exposed Vocals: What are some really embarrassing songs that we might find on your mp3 player?

Red-E: I don’t have any embarrassing songs on my mp3.

Exposed Vocals: If you were given half a million dollars and a year off, what would you do? How would you spend it?

Red-E: I would set up my studio and plan for a tour. Half a million would go very far cuz I don’t spend too much.

Exposed Vocals: Any planned studio upgrades? What are you working with now?

Red-E: I am actually upgrading my homestudio from scratch. my old one is outdated and needs an upgrade. My favorite Microphone is my Røde NTK since 10 years back. Im Using Logic and great plugins to record

Exposed Vocals: How do you find ways to promote your music? What works best for you?

 

Red-E: I ask my colleagues and try to be seen at different platforms

Exposed Vocals: If you could perform anywhere and with any artists (Dead or Alive) where and who would it be with? Why?

Red-E: Bob Marley, Justin Timberlake. Timberland. In Africa. Three of  my top favorite inspirations.

 

Exposed Vocals: So, what’s next? Any new upcoming projects that you want to talk about?

 

Red-E: Another album is expected to release in late spring 2017.

 

Exposed Vocals: If you weren’t making music, what would you be doing?

Red-E:  I would be a painting artist

Exposed Vocals: Do you remember buying your first album? Who was it? What was going through your head?

Red-E: The first album I bought was Redhead Kingpin. I was determine to find the Do the right thing song

 

Exposed Vocals: How do you juggle the rest of your responsibilities while trying to stay ahead in your music life?

Red-E: That’s hard and its crucial to have people around that is aware of the dedication and accept the absence from time to time.
