Exposed Vocals: So tell us your story. Where you grew up? What made you decide to become an artist?
LO: I was born and grew up in Curvelo, a small city in the state of Minas Gerais, Brazil.
what influenced me most when young, was the albums and also shows bands like Maiden, Metallica, Helloween, Megadeth, Kiss and others were the engine for the desire to start a band.
Â
RI: Artist:I grew up in a small city called Nazaré das Farinhas,Bahia,Brazil and I decided becoming an artist,a lead singer when I knew the Andre Matos´s job, First with Viper and after with Angra, so I began to sing his vocal lines trying to improve my vocal range. At same time i´ve already knew singers like Bruce Dickinson and Michael kiske and I guide my way to sing based on these amazing singers…
Exposed Vocals: How do you come up with that name? What was your inspiration behind it?
LO: The band was born in Salvador, with the name “on the rocks. Later changed to Inner Call that it was a song written by the band.
RI: The name of the band I took from a Lucca Turilli´s song called Angels of the winter when he said: In your silence, I could find the hidden words, All the secrets lost in heaven, And my angels of the winter dawn, In your wonder, I could hear the inner call…
After, we wrote a song with the same name. The theme it was co written together with luiz Omar…
Exposed Vocals: What do you think about sharing music online? You never give your music for free? Because?
LO: the question is not simply give a song for free, I think the question is why give it up for free. With the advancement of web is almost impossible to curb the free music sharing and this can inhibit the formation of new bands on the scene, because there is a universe of costs involved in recording a song process of recording a CD, which is the main business card of a band. Some songs need to be shared for free, up to arouse interest in the complete work.
RI: I think it´s as a one way road, we are living in an age when we have to follow the evolution of technology, so sharing songs online with a reasonable price it´s a quick way to send your song so distant you can…
Exposed Vocals: Once everyone was a start-up once, you can give any smaller bands or local artists looking to get shows and AirPlay some tips?
LO: The advice that I always give and try to preach is the union between the bands. Only then builds a strong local scene. united bands can produce sets shows and so attract the public to his music.
RI: We have in here great talents and fantastic bands who could travel worldwide, Salvador is place with a large range of different kind of bands and I will avoid name because I don´t want to be unfair, but In a full context we have a lot of bands able to make gigs around the world
Exposed Vocals: Do you ever make mistakes during presentations? How do you deal with it?
LO: yes, of course!! Unfortunately mistakes are part of our work, however the band has rehearsed. Great detail is to make this error to be as imperceptible as possible to the public. And the way to deal with error is to work it intensively in the next reherseal.
RI: Eventually we can commit some mistake during concerts but, of course we have to avoid them, the audience they paid to see a perfect gig and we have to work to make our better, but when mistakes happen we have to be ready to make them unnoticeable as we can…
Exposed Vocals: You Tour? Anything interesting happened on tour that you think our readers would like to hear about?
LO: We have been through situations of not receiving full payment for the show, not to touch for some reason unrelated to our will and also have a great time.
RI: Some years ago we travel to make a gig in a city called Valente, Bahia/Brazil and we were the first band to arrive at the local concert. So we began the sound check. After, missing two bands for us begin the concert, the police cancelled the event…The moral lesson of this: we travel there just only to make the sound check to other bands…
Exposed Vocals: Where do you usually meet up inspiration? What is your usual composition process?
LO: Rare were the times where I stopped for a moment in order to compose. Almost always the inspiration just comes up and I need to try to keep her in some way. Today, with the voice recorders on smartphones is easier to register the inside to work it with the band later.
RI: I have both, Under pression and by inspiration. Sometimes the guys send me an idea to follow, a theme, so I have to think in a way to develop the theme. But at same time can happen for example I wake up in middle of the night with a melody or a poem and immediately I write or record in my smartphone this ideia

RI: My fisrt rock album it was a Brazilian rock singer Called Raul Seixas, amazing, fantastic… krig-ha bandolo…
Exposed Vocals: How do you handle the rest of their responsibilities when trying to get ahead in your life music?
LO: is not easy to manage a band. Hiring shows, manage testing schedules, different thoughts, control the sale of albums and merchandising … well, it’s a job like any other and do not have a person in front, nothing goes as it should. I try to reconcile these activities with my formal work so they do not interfere with each other.
