Sam Welch: I think online music sharing is one of the best and most resourceful tool to any modern day ambitious artist it allows you to access a huge number of people from right at home! however I feel that while giving away music can be benefiting it degrades peoples view on the artist making it appear as though there work is less valuable so I myself don’t think I would ever do it!
Exposed Vocals: Do you ever make mistakes during performances? How do you handle that?
Sam Welch: I make mistake at least once a gig but you just need to forget it happened and move on to make sure the rest of your performance goes well there is no such thing as a perfect gig!
Exposed Vocals: Where do you usually gather songwriting inspiration? What is your usual songwriting process?
Sam Welch: It usually starts with my playing my guitar and figuring out one part of chords from there I then figure out the song structure and what mood I want to set the song at. Then I tend to figure out the drums, lead guitar and other various instruments. Once I have roughly recorded all the parts I only then begin to write lyrics I find this works best.
