Exposed Vocals: So tell us your story. Where did you grow up? What made you decide to become an artist?
Swayze: I grew up all over N.Y.C But was mainly raised in Flatbush Brooklyn . I remember listening to Nas, Jay-z, Biggie and saying “I can do that. This is what i want to do “. So i started writing about everything came to mind and what i saw growing up . I started reading about the industry so i can learn all about this business.
Exposed Vocals: How did you come up with that name? What was your inspiration behind it?
Swayze: I didn’t come up with my name friends around the neighborhood use to call me Swayze because of the way i use to spit the use to say I’m smooth like Patrick Swayze so the name stuck.
Exposed Vocals: What do you think about online music sharing? Do you ever give your music away for free? Why?
Swayze: I think online music sharing is one of the best tools for artist it allows us to reach areas we wouldn’t normally be able too. And I do give music away for free this is a strong promotional tool to gain listeners. Wouldn’t you want to listen to a independent artist before you decided to buy from them?
Exposed Vocals: Since everyone was a start-up once, can you give any smaller or local bands or artists looking to get gigs and airplay some tips?
Swayze: My best advised to bands and artist is to focus on promotion the more buzz you create the better . Your goal is to gain as many fans as you can get so the gigs and radio stations have a reason to work with you .If you not making any noise why would they choose you ?
Exposed Vocals: Do you ever make mistakes during performances? How do you handle that?
Swayze: Everyone makes mistakes. The best thing to do is not dwell on it and keep the show going. Nothing stops the show .
Exposed Vocals: Do you tour? Anything interesting happen on tour that you think our readers would enjoy hearing about?
Swayze: I’m currently not on tour.
Exposed Vocals: Where do you usually gather songwriting inspiration? What is your usual songwriting process?
Swayze: I feel I’m at my best when i record and write  alone .I’m focus no distractions. I make sure i make time for myself . I usually write in the middle of the night when my girl and kid are asleep. Then i go and record when by myself.

Exposed Vocals: What are some really embarrassing songs that we might find on your mp3 player?
Swayze: I don’t think anything i have on my mp3 is embarrassing everybody listen to different things that’s why there’s so many genres . I listen to everything if it catches my attention I’ll listen to it.
Exposed Vocals: If you were given half a million dollars and a year off, what would you do? How would you spend it?
Swayze: I would spend half on my music and half on my family .I wouldn’t take a day off because this is not work to me this is what i love doing music is my life.
Exposed Vocals: Any planned studio upgrades? What are you working with now?
Swayze: I’m currently using Pro Tools 10
With a audio technica studio mic. If anything i might get a new mic but other then that I’m happy with what i have .
Exposed Vocals: How do you find ways to promote your music? What works best for you?
Swayze: I feel social media and just meeting random people like in a mall or on the street works best .I get to comunicate with potential fans on a more personal level rather then just posting ads and flyers all the time. it’s always better to communicate with fans directly thats why i answer all messages. I receive it may take me a while because i get alot but i do get to them .
Exposed Vocals: If you could perform anywhere and with any artists (Dead or Alive) where and who would it be with? Why?
Swayze: If i could perform anywhere i would want to have madison square garden sold out and be performing with Drake and Biggie . I feel like that would be an amazing show . I feel like my music is a cross between those two artist.
Exposed Vocals: So, what’s next? Any new upcoming projects that you want to talk about?
Swayze: Yes my new Ill Advised album coming out soon i have two single off that on every major online distributors.
Exposed Vocals: If you weren’t making music, what would you be doing?
Swayze: If i wasn’t making music i would put that same energy towards sports such as basket ball and football.
Exposed Vocals: Do you remember buying your first album? Who was it? What was going through your head?
Swayze: My first album that i bought was. Jay z Hard knock life growing up i could relate to the struggles he talked about so his words impacted me and motivated me to go harder with my music
Exposed Vocals: How do you juggle the rest of your responsibilities while trying to stay ahead in your music life?
Swayze: Belive it or not its really not that difficult i can write a song and be done in a hour ready to record so if i make a couple of hours for myself i get focus. And get what i need done .
Exposed Vocals: What should fans look forward to in the next year or so?
Swayze : Fans should look forward to some big names being featured and a big tour but you gotta stay in the loop follow me on social media and my website .
