Jon “Thousand Times” King is a BMI affiliated, American music producer who’s genre-bending music utilizes elements of hip-hop, electronic and pop music. Jon King created Lift Off Music Group a niche record label that specializes in music publishing, event planning, brand development and music production. A passionate musician, Jon has worked with a wide variety of artists both in America and abroad. In addition to having invested over ten thousand hours over the course of 12 years into his craft Mr. King is involved in all the business aspects of operating a profitable record label. Working with countless independent artist Jon is excited to be entering into television and film licensing as well as the chance to tour internationally with the biggest acts in show business.Having garnered a sizable fan base of roughly 50,000 listeners across social media Jon is also excited to embark on on the next momentous phase of his music career. Having met with a variety of industry artist such as L.A. Born in Brooklyn New York on March 15th 1989 Jon moved to New Jersey at 4 and later to North Carolina at 18. While in New Jersey Jon was introduced to music production very informally “just hanging out at a friends house”. Once the seed of music was planted Jon couldn’t get enough; at 14 he drafted the “master plan” for the multi-billion dollar Lift Off empire. However, it would be ten years before Jon met Michael Gilchirst a self-made multi-millionaire who inspired by Jon’s thoughtful business plan decided to support the creation of Lift Off Music Group LLC in 2013.Determined to be a lasting name in music production Jon continues to perfect his music daily. Excited to work with new artists Jon has produced tracks from artists not only in the U.S. but in South Africa as well. Motivated by the goals set for Lift Off Music Group in the next quarter which include signing more artists to the label, securing dozens of music placements both in television and film and working with the Billboard Top 10 artists
Exposed Vocals: So tell us your story. Where did you grow up? What made you decide to become an artist?
Thousand Times: I was born in NY in 1989 and I remember wanting to get into music around the age of 14. I never could have imagined the journey music would take me on and the amazing people I would meet along the way.
Exposed Vocals: How did you come up with that name? What was your inspiration behind it?
Thousand Times: I came up with the name because in the 14 years leading up to my “big break” I made many many thousands of beats.

Exposed Vocals: Since everyone was a start-up once, can you give any smaller or local bands or artists looking to get gigs and airplay some tips?
Thousand Times: As far as finding gigs there really is no shortage of opportunists in your community you just have to plug yourself in. Air play can be purchased or you can make the connections yourself by networking.
Exposed Vocals: Do you tour? Anything interesting happen on tour that you think our readers would enjoy hearing about?
Thousand Times: As a music producer I don’t really tour all that often however I’d like to tour behind this album.
Exposed Vocals: Where do you usually gather songwriting inspiration? What is your usual songwriting process?
Thousand Times: I love writing choruses or tossing ideas around to the artist that I’m working with at the time. The usual process is going into the studio with a track I’ve made and brainstorming until everyone in the room is on the same page

Thousand Times: Hmm…I’ve been know to have some early 2000’s pop songs in my playlist lol.
Exposed Vocals: If you were given half a million dollars and a year off, what would you do? How would you spend it?
Thousand Times: I’d absolutely travel the world picking up musical styles and influences then I’d come back and incorporate that in to my music

Exposed Vocals: How do you find ways to promote your music? What works best for you?
Thousand Times: I like to promote as organically as possible that means reaching out IRL to people i meet at shows and events. However nothing beats the power of social media ad campaigns
Exposed Vocals: If you could perform anywhere and with any artists (Dead or Alive) where and who would it be with? Why?
Thousand Times: I’d absolutely love to perform with Pharrell Williams he’s the G.O.A.T. for me. He’s the one that got me interested in music production.
Exposed Vocals: So, what’s next? Any new upcoming projects that you want to talk about?
Thousand Times: For now I’m focusing on the album release and promoting it continuously for at least 6 months to a year.
Exposed Vocals: If you weren’t making music, what would you be doing?
Thousand Times: I would want to save the planet like be in the Peace Corp or maybe a environmental activist.
Exposed Vocals: Do you remember buying your first album? Who was it? What was going through your head?
Thousand Times: I do remember my first album, I was 13 and it was Aaron Carter lol.
Exposed Vocals: How do you juggle the rest of your responsibilities while trying to stay ahead in your music life?
Thousand Times: Its far from easy, I regularly go from feeling like I’m ahead to feeling I’m behind in the span of a week- but the race is always with myself. You cant focus on what others are doing you’d go crazy.
Exposed Vocals: What should fans look forward to in 2016?
Thousand Times The release of Road Maps the debut album and awesome visuals for at least 3-4 tracks.
