Exposed Vocals: So tell us your story. Where did you grow up? What made you decide to become an artist?

I grown up in cerritos ca ,close to long beach . I fell in love with hip hop/rap in 8th grade my ,but my friends made me want to rap. I would hear the songs they made then I instantly followed them

Exposed Vocals: How did you come up with that name? What was your inspiration behind it?

 my nick name has always been jboy but one my older friends called me blacksmith I just put them together

Exposed Vocals: What do you think about online music sharing? Do you ever give your music away for free? Why?

for a artist like me that needs more exposure, can be really helpful, even for more notable artist it can be useful, but we can’t do everything for free

Exposed Vocals: Since everyone was a start-up once, can you give any smaller or local bands or artists looking to get gigs and airplay some tips?

 for most smaller artists they will have to be their own manager it’s all about finding promoters via social media and try  internet radio blog sites there’s lots of ways to get your music out but you have to be the one to do the work and see what’s out there put your name and everything

Exposed Vocals: Where do you usually gather songwriting inspiration? What is your usual songwriting process?

 I get my inspiration from anywhere random conversations parts of movies documentaries I write ideas down first get a Beat smoke a backwood then I try to make the hook first then the then the verses to make the song Come Together do you have any

Exposed Vocals: Do you have a band website? What online platforms do you use to share your music?

  I use Twitter Facebook Instagram

Exposed Vocals: If you were given half a million dollars and a year off, what would you do? How would you spend it?

  I will spend a good amount into my music probably make my own business

Exposed Vocals: How do you find ways to promote your music? What works best for you?

 I use Twitter Instagram Facebook I put my YouTube videos on hip-hop blog sites and had my songs played on it various internet radio stations
I wouldn’t say it’s one best thing that works for your help in their own way it is smart to use more than one platform

Exposed Vocals: So, what’s next? Any new upcoming projects that you want to talk about?

 I will be dropping a ep next month called winning time

 I don’t know exactly but it would be something positive

Exposed Vocals: How do you juggle the rest of your responsibilities while trying to stay ahead in your music life?

 knowing what you want in life and a strong mind

my ep that’s dropped , im going to be on a movie soundtrack,
Movie rolls we going to be working but we really focused on the beginning of 2017
