Exposed Vocals: How did you hear about Exposed Vocals? What made you decide to sign up?
DJ Hopestar:I heard about Exposed Vocals on tweeter.The reason i signed up was because a feeling came to me telling that this might be the start of my music being heard.Positive that you guys can believe in my music like i do and can get my songs and like them and maybe i might get something from you guys,that you can open doors for my music being heard out there
Exposed Vocals: So tell us your story. Where did you grow up? What made you decide to become an artist?
DJ Hopestar: Well i grew up in a small village called Chavani in Limpopo,South Africa.I grew up being a winner in sports,i play volleyball and my school team won a cup,i play soccer,i’m an athlete.What made me become an artist is because of the way i understand music,i give music my full time and i want to share what is flowing in my blood to people out there.I hope and i know i have great things to help people through music
Exposed Vocals: How did you come up with that name? What was your inspiration behind it?
DJ Hopestar: ”DJ Hopestar” is a name i came up with not long ago.I came up with that name because people use to call me ”DJ Hope” and my teachers at school,coaches used to call me a star so i put those together and it describes me
Exposed Vocals: What do you think about online music sharing? Do you ever give your music away for free? Why?
DJ Hopestar: Online music is very helpfull for in cases like this,it helps me share my music with you but still far apart.No i don’t give my music for free because I take my time and pour my heart to what I do,plus it’s not simple to get the materials to use for music,publishing and all that,it also cost us
Exposed Vocals: Since everyone was a start-up once, can you give any smaller or local bands or artists looking to get gigs and airplay some tips?

Exposed Vocals: Do you ever make mistakes during performances? How do you handle that?
DJ Hopestar: Well I haven’t made mistakes yet while performing
Exposed Vocals: Do you tour? Anything interesting happen on tour that you think our readers would enjoy hearing about?
DJ Hopestar: No,I haven’t went for tour yet,I’m still saving and looking for sponsors that can help me to fill up the costs of the tour
Exposed Vocals: Where do you usually gather songwriting inspiration? What is your usual songwriting process?
DJ Hopestar: Most of the times i write songs in my room,studio,and mostly when i write it depends on my moods,i do write sad songs,joyful songs too

DJ Hopestar: Soundcloud.com,I also share my links on tweeter and Facebook

DJ Hopestar: None
Exposed Vocals: If you were given half a million dollars and a year off, what would you do? How would you spend it?
DJ Hopestar: I wound inverst half of what I’ll be given then spend the rest wisely
Exposed Vocals: Any planned studio upgrades? What are you working with now?
DJ Hopestar: I’m now planning on having a tour to perform around Johannesburg and Louis Trichardt,I’m still looking for sponsorships,I have a lot of songs of my own that i want share around the world

DJ Hopestar: I just share on Internet,Soundcloud.com and more links
Exposed Vocals: If you could perform anywhere and with any artists (Dead or Alive) where and who would it be with? Why?
DJ Hopestar: It would be David Guetta because he makes electric like myself,and i would work with him although i make all kinds of beats and he only does electric
Exposed Vocals: So, what’s next? Any new upcoming projects that you want to talk about?
DJ Hopestar: I want to make all my tracks being played on radios all over the world, being used for advertisements and movies.I know that ain’t easy but i know with your help guys,this could come true
Exposed Vocals: If you weren’t making music, what would you be doing?
DJ Hopestar: I really don’t know,but let me say I’d be in sports
Exposed Vocals: Do you remember buying your first album? Who was it? What was going through your head?
DJ Hopestar: Yes,David Guetta ‘s electric songs and his mixes made me go crazy,it made me work even harder
Exposed Vocals: How do you juggle the rest of your responsibilities while trying to stay ahead in your music life?
DJ Hopestar: I give a lot of time in music because i know i have something in music that one day when everybody hears my music they’ll ask where i have been hiding,what i do is usually go to school then back home and do my homework and abit of studying and then music all the way

DJ Hopestar: To be filled with joy and to get what they will be looking forward to.
